BOTOX® COSMETIC TREATMENT AREAS

FOREHEAD LINES

Lines and wrinkles that appear on the forehead can give you a harsh, aged appearance. In some individuals, these lines can appear at a very young age. Patients who have deep forehead lines may look perpetually tired and older than they feel. BOTOX® Cosmetic can treat unwanted lines and wrinkles on the forehead and give you a softer, more youthful appearance.

FROWN LINES

Frown lines are vertical wrinkles that appear between the brows. Caused by frequent muscle contractions from making certain facial expressions over time, frown lines can make you look angry and unapproachable. BOTOX® Cosmetic can smooth out this area so that the face appears softer, more relaxed, and more approachable.

CROW’S FEET (SMILE LINES)

Crow’s feet, also called smile lines, are small wrinkles that appear at the outer corners of the eyes. These lines are often among the first signs of facial aging. BOTOX® Cosmetic can minimize aging by eliminating these lines so that the eyes become more of a youthful and attractive focal point on the face.

NECK MUSCLE BANDS

Neck muscle bands are another sign of aging. The appearance of the neck plays a critical role in the way that others perceive you and your appearance. Dr. Smith uses BOTOX® Cosmetic to minimize neck muscle bands so that the neck appears smoother and more youthful.

JUVÉDERM® TREATMENT AREAS

What is JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC?

As you age, the cheeks may flatten and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is designed to add volume beneath the skin's surface, which provides lift and contour to the cheek area. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC provides natural-looking and long-lasting results that last up to 2 years with optimal treatment.

What is JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC?

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is injected into the areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur, including the "parentheses lines" around the nose and mouth. JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is designed to temporarily correct facial wrinkles for a smoother appearance to the face for adults over the age of 21. The clinical study demonstrated JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC lasts up to 18 months, with optimal treatment.

What is JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC?

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC injectable gel is for injection into the lips for lip augmentation and for correction of perioral lines, often called "lipstick lines" in adults over the age of 21. JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC lasts up to 1 year, with optimal treatment.

BOTOX® Cosmetic Treatments

During your consultation, Dr. Smith will evaluate your goals and your facial anatomy to determine the best treatment plan for you. If BOTOX® Cosmetic is the best treatment for your needs, he will determine where and how BOTOX® Cosmetic should be injected to minimize your wrinkles. Some patients will benefit more from facial fillers in addition to or instead of BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments.

HOW BOTOX® COSMETIC WORKS

  • BOTOX® Cosmetic is derived from a purified protein made by Clostridium botulinum bacterium
  • When injected into the facial muscles, BOTOX® Cosmetic limits the nerve activity
  • By halting the muscle movement, BOTOX® Cosmetic stops the cause of expression lines and other similar facial wrinkles

RECEIVING BOTOX® COSMETIC INJECTIONS

  • Pain is minimal, but ice or a topical anesthetic cream can be used to numb the treatment area if desired
  • Procedure lasts only 10 to 15 minutes and has no downtime
  • Results will typically last four to six months
